It's been a while

It's been a long while since posting here.  I thought I would take my blogging experience someplace else.  Some place that seemed easier, cooler, and more attractive.  Well, I'm back, I guess... I haven't fully decided to close my other blog site but....  How about you decide.  Take a look around here and then go to lindadalton.edublogs.org and take a look around.  Which blog site do you think is easier for a teacher, wife, and grandmother?  Which would you prefer to use?  Please, comments (constructive criticism only) are welcome.  I value other's opinions.  Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Ahhh, the first week of summer vacation.  Sleeping late, lazy days, and beginning to worry about next year.  Which of these don't belong?  Yeah, I know.  But as a teacher my thoughts are constantly on my classroom and my kids.  How many of you are already working on next year's classroom and thinking about the learning styles of the kiddos you will get?

Later this week I will post pics of my classroom and really would like some advice on how to arrange it... please overlook the mess in the pics.  I was packing up for summer.  At least you get the general idea of what the classroom looks like and what furniture I have.  Thanks in advance!!!

It's here...

Just like the title states, it's here, the end of school.  Today is called "grade card" day.  The students get off the bus, get their grade cards, say goodbye to their friends, and then reload the bus.  Literally, I will be at school for no more than 3 hours.

It seems like the year has just begun.  The kids and I were just  beginning to fall into routine and now it ends.  I can't say I will miss it.  This year has been a rough one for me and for the students.  They were eager for it to end and I must say I am too.  Today is just a formality and then summer begins.  What are your plans for summer?

It's been a while been  too long since I posted last.  Uhm, what can I say the reason is?  A he..  of a year.  I have had unexpected surgery and was MIA for 3-4 weeks in Nov.  before that I was in and out of the ER every other weekend (or so it seemed) and whoa, what a group of kids.  I have two more days with this group and I I mean they are free, free, free.  You know like Wilbur was when he broke through the fence.  Yeah, that free.  Well, I hope to bring you tales of the past 8 months and what I have learned through it all in the next few posts.  I promise I will do better.

Oh, yeah, I found this new fandangled way of keeping track of the blogs you like to read so good.  www.bloglovin.com  Try it out.

First days of school

Oh wow! What a year it's going to be. I will need prayers and I will be on my knees a lot. While one child wanted their mommy (and secretly I did too) another child was taking t temper tantrum because it was too hard for him to answer a few one word questions. Oh what a year u gave ahead if me.

My Cup Runneth Over

Hello everyone.  This post has nothing to do with teaching but I have got to share some good news in my family.  My oldest grandson was saved July 3rd and he is to be baptized next Sunday.  My cup runneth over.  I am so thankful that I have a God who sacrificed his own son  for us sinners.  He loved us that much.  He still loves us!  Thank you Lord for your blessings on me.

Good day everyone!  Since my last post, I have been on vacation but did not want to advertise because of break ins at our house while we were gone.  I had a wonderful time at the beach (Myrtle).  The ocean was just the right temperature for the hot weather.  There were dolphins that visited the waters just outside our hotel every morning.  The hotel was wonderful and the staff was extremely pleasant to deal with.  Even the Cafe du Port was terrific.

Now that I am home, I have been going to the chiropractor for throbbing pain in my back and legs.  She is also treating me for migraines which is helping.  Is my back and legs better?  Somewhat.  Am I still experiencing pain?  Sure, especially today.  However, I have been able to go to the fabric store and purchase material for my chair pockets that I am planning on making for my little kiddos in August.  Um, let's just hope that I can get them completed (smirky laugh here)!!

I also need to start work on lesson plans and I am behind on sending welcome letters to my new students.  This sounds a little lot like the way my school year was last year.  LOL!!  I hope I don't stay so far behind and I can see some peace at home during the work week and on the weekends.
TTFN, folks.
Oh, welcome to my newest followers.  I am tickled pink purple that you have chosen to follow me.  See ya,
